Emory Isaac Cohen (born March 13, 1990) is an American actor known for his roles in Afterschool (2008), The Place Beyond the Pines (2012), Brooklyn (2015), and the Netflix series The OA (2016). Born in Manhattan, Cohen is the son of preschool director Donna and music teacher Noel Cohen. A Jewish fourth-generation New Yorker with Russian roots, he began acting in school productions. After graduating from Elisabeth Irwin High School in 2008, he briefly attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia before moving to New York to pursue acting.
