Rob Delaney (born January 19, 1977, Marblehead, Massachusetts) is an American comedian, actor, writer, and activist. He co-created and starred in the TV series "Catastrophe" and has appeared in comedy films such as "Deadpool 2" (2018) and "Tom and Jerry" (2021).

Delaney was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 19, 1977, to Nancy and Robert Delaney. He grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and is of Irish descent. He studied at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, earning a degree in musical theater in 1999.

Delaney lives in London with his wife, Leah, and their four sons. In February 2018, he announced the death of their two-year-old son, who had been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. In August 2018, the couple welcomed their fourth son. In 2020, Delaney wrote about his vasectomy.

Delaney has openly discussed his health issues, including depression and alcoholism. In 2002, he was involved in an accident where he crashed into a building, which led him to quit drinking.

In 2018, Delaney became the first host of CBeebies' "Bedtime Stories" to use Makaton for storytelling, a method he used to communicate with his late son Henry.

On Sarah Cox's show "Between the Covers," Delaney named Lucy Berlin's short story collection "Guide for Cleaners" as one of his favorite books. Delaney is an atheist.
