The director of the company Restaurants and Canteens arrives to attend a screening of a film made in various restaurants. A group of villagers come in to one of the restaurants for their lunch. The two waiters carry on chatting and ignore their customers. The head waiter finally brings them a crumpled menu, but whatever they order, he crosses off the menu and urges them to order something they do not want. In another restaurant a customer complains he has found a button in his sauce. The waiter promises to get him another portion but, once out of sight, he simply takes the button out of the food and brings back the same plate on which he has carelessly rearranged the food. Other customers are trying to pay but the staff point to the waiter with the wallet; he, however, is absorbed in watching a chess game and is neglecting his duties.

A comedy based on the novel of Jaroslav Hašek's The Good Soldier Svejk happens during the World War I. I Dutifully Report: In the introduction to the second part of the film adaptation of Hašek's novel The Good Soldier Švějk presents his main character Josef Švejk. With the distinctive traditional Czech cartoon character of a soldier Svejk, this time you meet on the way to the front and eventually right in the firing line. You can look at his famous train events, and also probably the most famous episode of the novel, Švejk's Budějovice anabasis. Don't miss the scene with the secretly bought cognac, the episode with Svejk as a fake Russian prisoner of war, including the court scene, and the scene in which lieutenant Dub is caught in a brothel. Despite the criticism, Steklý's adaptation is undoubtedly the most famous and memorable at present.

Действие фильма происходит в течение одного автобусного рейса. Все участники этого путешествия - случайные попутчики. Они никогда не знали друг друга. Автобус Прага - Карловы Вары отправляется с конечной остановки в 13:30. Его пассажиры разные люди: молодая девушка, легкомысленная и обаятельная, дама с собачкой — олицетворение мещанства, пунктуальный чиновник, твердо верящий в превосходство Запада и старательно не замечающий успехов социалистического строительства, кинорежиссер, который часто уносится в мечтах далеко от реальной действительности, придумывая сюжет своего будущего фильма. Едут в автобусе и молодые люди, любители легкой музыки, едут пожилые супруги и другие пассажиры. Несколько дорожных приключений, остроумные шутки, веселая музыка делают комедию одним из тех фильмов, которые всегда нравятся зрителям.
