Stelana Kliris

Stelana Kliris, a South African-Cypriot writer, director, and producer, is known for "Find Me Falling" (2024), the first Cypriot feature on Netflix. She wrote, directed, and produced "Committed" (2014) and is developing projects under Meraki Films, including "Apart from Her" and the series "Unexpected," which won the 2022 Owl Screenwriting Workshop's Best Pilot Award. Kliris is a member of the European Women's Audiovisual Network and the Directors Guild of Cyprus. She graduated from the 2018 EAVE Producers Workshop and is an EFP Producers on the Move alumna. Her work is inspired by stories with heart and humanity, drawing from her multicultural upbringing in politically complex countries like South Africa and Cyprus.

After his latest album receives poor reviews, American rock star John Allman impulsively decides to take a break and buys a secluded house near a cliff in Cyprus. A few days later, he mistakenly accuses a man standing at the cliff's edge of being a paparazzo and is horrified when the man leaps to his death. Local police captain Manoli arrives and informs John that the cliff is a notorious spot for suicides, which explains the house's low price. Manoli warns John that the area has a high suicide rate, with several occurrences each month, and gives him his phone number to report any future incidents.
