Anna Hofman-Uddgren

1868 - 1947

Anna Maria Viktoria Hofman-Uddgren was a Swedish actress, entertainer, director, producer, writer and theatre director. She first appeared as a chanteause at the Tivoli gardens, Djurgården, Stockholm. She made her film debut 1911 as actress and director of the film "Stockholmsfrestelser/Temptations of Stockholm". She might have been Swedens first female film director. Mrs Ebba Lindkvist directed "Värmländingarna" in october of 1910.

They spend the Midsummer Eve together and plan to fly to Switzerland. Anna Hofman-Uddgren was almost the first female film director in Sweden. Beaten by a couple of months by Ebba Lindkvist.

In front of the salvation Army headquarters. An old man who is being teased by a flock of children, is almost run over by a car. Out of the headquarters gates march singing and playing female Salvation Army soldiers. One of the women is on her way to a nearby restaurant where the two sisters Ruth and Fanny works as waitresses.
