His family moved back to Ireland when he was young, settling first in Harolds Cross, Dublin, and later in Ennistymon, County Clare. His early exposure to music came from his family’s love of records and sing-alongs. Wall attended several schools in Dublin and Ennistymon, eventually studying at Galway Regional Technical College, where he played guitar in the band New Testament.
