Alexandre Heboyan
2021After school Alexandre moved to California to work for DreamWorks Animation. He notably animated characters on Kung Fu-Panda (2008). After a three year experience in the US, he moved back to France to direct his first Cg movie. Mune, the moon guardian, with Benoit Philippon. Produced by On Entertainment, the movie was created in Paris, and Cg production in Canada with Mikros Montréal.
Mune, the moon guardian got a worldwide release, and amongst other prizes won awards in the Tokyo Animation Award Festival, Toronto TIFF, Kids’s Screen, Stockholm International Film Festival Junior. More countries are releasing the movie this year as Mune has been picked up by GKIDS for distribution in the US this summer.

When a faun named Mune becomes the Guardian of the Moon, little did he had unprepared experience with the Moon and an accident that could put both the Moon and the Sun in danger, including a corrupt titan named Necross who wants the Sun for himself and placing the balance of night and day in great peril. Now with the help of a wax-child named Glim and the warrior, Sohone who also became the Sun Guardian, they go out on an exciting journey to get the Sun back and restore the Moon to their rightful place in the sky.

A young teenage Turk is given the difficult mission to save Maryam and her brother Varto, two Armenian children caught up in the 1915 turmoil. They will live an odyssey through Anatolia, sometimes dramatic, sometimes enchanted. This adventure will have unexpected consequences in our day and age where a young woman and her son are going to take a trip from Istanbul to France to meet a grumpy old man who doesn’t want to see them. History’s secrets sometimes hide family secrets where ghosts wait to be reunited.
