Nik Dodani (born December 19, 1993) is an American actor, writer, and comedian known for his roles as Zahid in the Netflix comedy-drama series Atypical, and Pat Patel in the revival of the popular CBS sitcom Murphy Brown.

Nik began his acting career in community theater in Phoenix, debuting as Zero in Holes. He first appeared on TV in HBO’s The Comeback and has since featured in shows like Big Sky, Trinkets, and Angie Tribeca. In film, he's known for Alex Strangelove, Dark Was the Night, Escape Room, Mark, Mary & Some Other People, and Dear Evan Hansen. He also appeared in Twisters (2024).

Dodani's voice work includes roles in Big Nate, The Owl House, and Strange World. He made his Broadway debut in Waitress and began stand-up comedy in 2015, debuting on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2018. He is adapting Rakesh Satyal's novel Blue Boy and co-founded the production company Cosmic Pomegranate in 2022. In 2023, he co-produced Life of Pi on Broadway and initiated The Power of Pi Project.

Dodani has been involved in political activism, including producing the Laughter Trumps Hate tour and supporting South Asian community initiatives, notably co-founding The Salon to support South Asian creatives.

Dodani is of Indian descent and openly gay. He graduated from BASIS Scottsdale in 2011 and studied politics at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
