Zigrīda Stungure
1928 - 2010Окончила Театральный институт Латвийской ССР (1950). Была актрисой Лиепайского драматического театра (1950—1951) и Театра Дайлес (Государственный академический Художественный театр им. Я. Райниса). В 1997 году на сцене последнего поставила пьесу Оскара Уайльда «Идеальный муж».
С 1955 года снималась в кино. Дебютировала в главной роли батрачки Мадары в фильме режиссёров Павла Арманда и Леонида Лейманиса «Весенние заморозки».
Была членом Союза театральных деятелей (с 1952) и Союза кинематографистов (с 1958).

Riga, the 1930s. Oļģerts Kurmis, an educated unemployed, does all kinds of odd jobs. Together with his friend, vagrant Frīdis, they sometimes work for Mr. Kalnkāja who dreams of becoming a member of parliament. Kurmis feels responsible for his neighbour Emma, the young woman has just served a prison sentence for petty theft. He helps her to get a maid's position in the Kalnkāja household. While helping Kurmis and Frīdis with Kalnkāja's election posters, Emma is arrested again, this time for a "political offence".
