3 amateur hijackers hijacked a tourist ship that is sailing in the Maluku Sea which contains several local tourists and Gomgom, the captain. They are Daniel (Ge Pamungkas) who wants to prove to his parents that even the child of a rich people can work, Cakka (Muhadkly Acho) who needs money for her sick mother, and Bertus (Mamat Alkatiri), unemployed. Because of their stupidity they sink the ship and stranded on an empty island. Resistance from the hostages is driven by Tiara (Yuki Kato) and from other passengers: the Burhan family consisting of Father (Arief Didu), Mother (Asri Welas) and their child (Romaria Simbolon), husband and wife on their honeymoon, Darto (Yusril) and Salma (Naomi Papilaya), as well as three students, Noni (Andi Anissa), Cika (Ryma Shepherd) and Agung (Ananta Rispo).

Shila (Yuki Kato), daughter of a fisherman around Lake Toba, wants to go to favorite high school in Medan. But alas, Mother wants her to enter into the pesantren (religious boarding school). Shila complains to Father. This time Father agrees with Mother. Shila disappoints and their relationship is strained. Pesantren’s life is full of activities and disciplined, making Shila difficult to adapt. She becomes homesick. Even so Shila still dreams of being a novelist. Together with his friends, Manda (Febby Blink), Ayesha (Via Blink) and Icut (Vebby Palwinta), she discovers the meaning of true friendship. They even have a "pot of tears", where they keep all of sad and happy tears. Shila’s life at pesantren is decorated with colorful typical problems of adolescence.

Putu was forced to flee from Bali to Jakarta because he did not agree to an arranged marriage. However, he had to return to Bali because his father was very ill. He used Flight Komo 555. The passengers varied. Putu sat next to a small child who was discussing things that made him anxious. The tense incident began when Putu found a gun in the toilet. Then the Papuan and Sundanese men went into the toilet opposite each other. When they came out the Papuan only wore a koteka. Passengers laugh. It turned out that the Papuans and Sundanese wanted to control the plane and change the destination of the flight to Papua.
