Symphonic Memories is a poetic meditation on the nature of human memory. Citizens of Lisbon share the same spaces, yet see them all differently. Historical and personal events can be very subjective. The documentary/film essay is an associative collage of memories and an introduction to the identity of Lisbon's citizens.

Consists of a series of glimpses from the life of a Gabi, a Romanian mother adrift in a rootless urban landscape. The film follows her for nearly two days as she tries to free herself from her surroundings.
