Richard Brown, a decorated Vietnam War veteran now living in Indonesia, discovers that gunmen invaded his home, murdered his son, Bobby, (preparing to celebrate his 8th birthday), and gang-raped and murdered his wife, Florinda. Vowing revenge, he begins to track down the culprits, learning in the process that they're in the employ of a business rival named Hawk. At one point he's captured, beaten, and tortured but then he's rescued by Julia, Hawk's personal secretary, who also seeks revenge on her employer for causing the death of her sister. Brown eventually finds and confronts Hawk at Hawk's fortress-like compound.

Tragedy strikes when a group of thugs slaughter two children and their mother and father. Then, out of nowhere, a ghost of a sinister, thuggish looking man appears and walks toward the woman's body. Later, a couple moves into the house and encounters the ghosts of the two children. Even worse, the murdered woman, possessed by the evil male spirit, has returned as a ghost/zombie who can invade people's dreams and kill them. She has a glove just like Freddy Krueger and she makes use of it quite frequently. She seeks out those who killed her and her family, taking vengeance on them. Five well known warriors, Larang Jagad (Baron Hermanto), Banggokantera (Atin Martino), Kuda Merta (Luthi Tambayong), Galigo (Jack Maland) and Rangga Sakti, who are collectively known as the Five Tigers, or Lima Harimau Nusantara, are called in to help. They go to battle against Penyebar Racun (Risma Salmon), Jubah Merah (Arthur Kaunang) and Kodok Salju (Jabol Mora). The Five Tigers are so powerful that Khubilai Khan’s forces are beaten back and return to their homeland in defeat.
