Filmed in the cities of São José do Egypt, in Pernambuco; Ouro Velho e Prata, in Paraíba, the documentary has as character the poetry itself, present in the daily life of the population that lives on the border between the two states. At parties, in houses, in the streets, in markets, in barbershops and bars, the poetic verve appears in the voice of the descendants of famous vates of the sertão and the inhabitants who live with this tradition, recalling singing stories, great poetic responses and dissertations about the sentiment and themes of poetry in the region.
