Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote are hiding out in a Mexican bar after a battle with Carnage. When Eddie is falsely accused of murder, they head to New York City to clear his name, unaware that a creature called a Xenophage is hunting them. Rex Strickland, a soldier at Area 51, is capturing symbiotes for research and learns about Eddie’s Codex, a vital key to their creator, Knull. While trying to escape to New York, Eddie and Venom are attacked by the Xenophage, forcing them to crash-land in the desert. They eventually reach Las Vegas, where they are captured by Strickland. In a climactic battle, Venom sacrifices himself to destroy the Codex and protect Eddie.
