Daniel Francis (born February) is a British actor who started his career in theatre. He is best known for his performances in Small Axe: Education (2020) and the Netflix miniseries Stay Close (2021).

Born to Jamaican parents, Francis was raised by his mother in a council estate in Battersea, South London. Shy during his childhood, he found his passion for acting through the Pyramid Youth organization in Clapham. At seventeen, he was mentored by theatre director Sacha Wares and was cast in Bintou at the Arcola Theatre. He later trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

After graduating, Francis took on minor roles in Royal Shakespeare Company productions, including The Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night. He starred in The Brothers Size at the Young Vic and played the title role in The Hounding of David Oluwale.

His first significant onscreen role was as Sgt. Carl Haleford in the ITV war drama Homefront (2012), the same year he made his film debut in Fast Girls. In 2013, he portrayed Othello in a production by the Singapore Repertory Theatre.

In 2016, Francis played Martin Luther King Jr. in The Mountaintop and joined Once Upon a Time as Dr. Facilier. He has also worked as a personal development coach and as a community manager for Hedera Hashgraph.

He appeared as Esmond Smith in Steve McQueen's Small Axe (2020) and starred in Cops at Southwark Playhouse. More recently, he was featured in the Netflix miniseries Stay Close (2021) and starred in Apple TV+'s Liaison, the second season of The Wheel of Time, and the third season of Bridgerton.
