Viki Aleksandrovich
2021Viki Aleksandrovich was born 1987 in the USSR (Kazakhstan) and is currently living in Vienna (Austria). He studied Directing at the University of Television and Film Munich, after dropping out of Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna. As a filmmaker and producer his focus lies on merging documentary and fiction into ecstatic realities.

A young woman detaches herself from her family, as she goes on an ecstatic journey to the birthplaces of her Ukrainian-German-Jewish self. While searching for her brother, she loses herself in the midst of national and religious conflicts, embracing the idea of having no identity at all. Leaving her past behind, she descends into the void of the biblical desert.
