Kevin Harris
2021Kevin Harris is a South African independent documentary filmmaker born in Pietermaritzburg. In October 1979, he was fired by the Apartheid controlled SABC TV for ensuring the uncensored broadcast of his documentary Bara. In 1982, he made his first independent documentary, This We Can Do For Justice & For Peace, know as Land of Courage, Land of Fear in the United States. Other notable works includes Witness to Apartheid, The Cry of Reason and the PBS documentary series South Africa Now.
