Bryant Bentley

Bryant Louis Bentley has toured across the country with his theatrical performances. His notable theater roles include Willie in Master Harold and the Boys (Clarence Brown Theater), Jackie Robinson in Most Valuable Player (Indiana Repertory Theater), Walter Lee in A Raisin in the Sun (Wright State University), and Ceasar Wilkers in August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean (Human Race Theater). He has also played Booth in Topdog/Underdog (Phoenix Theater), Levee Green in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Junior in Between Riverside and Crazy, and Gabriel in Fences. Other productions he has appeared in include Jitney, Two Trains Running, The Exonerated, Five Guys Named Moe, Greater Tuna, Cinderella, Blues for an Alabama Sky, and Plenty of Time.

Bryant has earned several awards, including the Central Ohio Theater's Critics 14th Annual Poll Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Boy Willie in August Wilson's The Piano Lesson (CATCO Theater). His third performance as Boy Willie at the Portland Playhouse Theater was recognized as the top production in Portland's Top Ten Best Theater.
