William Catlett is an American actor and producer, born on October 16, 1987, in Alexandria, Virginia. His father initially aspired to be an actor before transitioning to a military and government career.

Catlett's early television appearances include roles in The Mentalist on CBS, as well as Insecure and Brothers in Atlanta on HBO. He starred in the 2018 series Love Is, created by Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil, where he also contributed as a writer. He played the lead in Issa Rae's YouTube series First and in That Guy from Black & Sexy TV. Additionally, he produced Giants for Issa Rae Presents, the short film Stages, where he also starred, and the television series Garden Hills. He later collaborated again with Akil on Black Lightning.

In 2020, Catlett appeared in the film Charm City Kings, and in 2021, he featured alongside Kevin Hart, Wesley Snipes, and Billy Zane in the Netflix comedy thriller True Story, earning a nomination for an NAACP Image Award for his performance. He was also part of Lovecraft Country and appeared as Lucky in A.V. Rockwell's film A Thousand and One in 2023.

In 2024, he plays Rickles in the comedy horror film Abigail, alongside Dan Stevens and Melissa Barrera, and he is a series regular on the Apple TV+ series Constellation, portraying Paul. Catlett is also the founder of Catlett Academy.
