James Morosini is an American actor and filmmaker, born around 1989 or 1990, and raised in Tampa, Florida. He is the son of Deborah Morosini and Claudio Lichtenthal, a ski instructor, with his father being a Jewish emigrant from Argentina. Morosini's maternal aunt was actress Dana Reeve. He earned a bachelor's degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he now teaches as an adjunct professor.

In 2022, Morosini gained recognition for writing, directing, and starring in the film I Love My Dad, based on his own life experiences. The film won both the Grand Jury and Audience Awards at SXSW and stars Patton Oswalt. His film It's What's Inside premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and made headlines for selling to Netflix for $17 million, one of the biggest sales in Sundance history. In 2024, it was announced that Morosini would direct the psychological horror film Mommy's Home for Lionsgate Films. He has also been featured in Variety's Comedy Impact Report, and his screenplay POP was highlighted on the Black List, recognizing it as one of the most liked scripts of the year.
