После этого милиционеры решили добить свою жертву, а труп увезти и выбросить за городом. Расследование поручается следователю Прокуратуры СССР Глебу Ярину. Вскоре он оказывается вовлеченным в противостояние двух непримиримых соперников — КГБ и МВД. Высшее милицейское руководство собирается любыми способами замять скандал между силовыми ведомствами.
