Daniel rents out her body. Her customers are inhabitants of the Spheres - a virtual reality that is home to large parts of the population and that used to be Daniel’s home too. While saving up the money she makes to pay for her eventual return to the Spheres she receives a risky offer that might take her back faster and that leads her on a journey exploring the nature of human desire.
