Heather Morris

In 1971, Morris moved to Melbourne, where she married Steve Morris in 1973. They returned to New Zealand in 1975, settling in Christchurch, and had three children: a son in 1976, another in 1980, and a daughter in 1985.
She began her studies at the University of Canterbury in 1986 but moved back to Melbourne in 1987. She graduated from Monash University with a BA in Political Science and Sociology in 1991. In 1995, she started working as an office manager in the social work department at Monash Medical Center, where she remained until 2017.
