Early career (2014-2019)
Under ring names including Ramon, Chuck Taylor and later Stokely Hathaway, he wrestled six years from 2014-2019 on the independent circuit. Promotions included Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic, CHIKARA, Alpha-1 Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling and EVOLVE Wrestling. During his early career, Hathaway became a former one-time Alpha-1 Wrestling Outer Limits Champion.

During March 2019, it was announced Hathaway and recruits Cal Bloom and Robert Strauss had been signed to WWE. Hathaway reported to the WWE Performance Center and was announced he will use the ring name Court Moore during his future matches.
