Joshua Boshell

Joshua Boshell is an American filmmaker who grew up in both the Midwest and California. Currently based in Chicago, IL, he’s studying towards a BFA in Cinema Directing in his final semester at Columbia College Chicago. He writes and directs content out of a passion for storytelling, world building, and sharing his values of friendship, loyalty and perseverance with others. His past projects have been selected for film festivals such as Columbia’s Take 1 and MidWest WeirdFest. He’s currently in post-production with his thesis short film One of Our Own, which was shot under Covid-19 restrictions. On his horizon is Something, Somewhere, a Sci-fi/Horror short film he’s developing with the goal of greenlighting an episodic series from the same IP in the near future. Next to that, his post-graduation plans are to continue creating content in preparation for his feature debut.
