1999 (26 лет)Miguel Mesquita was born on November 15 1999, in Matosinhos. In 2020 he obtained a bachelor degree in Sound and Image, from Universidade Católica Portuguesa - School of Arts. His main interests are film directing and writing film essays. He has directed films such as "†" (2019) or "Memórias de um Quinto Império" (2018). At the moment, he is in post-production of his bachelor's final project, the film "Our house in flames", and starting a master degree in Cinema.

Dawn. Through the mist, morning's early light arises. But a stronger one stands out. It's a wildfire that spreads in the distance. From her home, in the top of the mount, a worried woman faces the flames. But it's not the proximity of danger that troubles her. Inside her house, her daughter sleeps, indifferent to the smoke that enters her room.
