Anna Stevens
2021Anna Stevens is an American film and television producer, director and editor. She holds a BA of Moving Image Arts from the College of Santa Fe. In 2002, she founded Green Spider Films, a documentary production company dedicated to telling the stories of indigenous, shamanic cultures and peoples around the world.

The Shipibo-Konibo people of Peruvian Amazon decorate their pottery, jewelry, textiles, and body art with complex geometric patterns called kené. These patterns also have corresponding songs, called icaros, which are integral to the Shipibo way of life. This documentary explores these unique art forms, and one Shipibo family's efforts to safeguard the tradition.
