Collin McLean (born April 22, 2004 in Exeter, New Hampshire) is an American film director and screenwriter, best known for his short films, usually shot in the 16mm film format, directing jointly with his associate director, writer Dominic Cipullo. Many of their works are stylish genre pieces, occasionally dabbling in the violent, and over the top style. McLean and Cipullo’s works include their two upcoming short films “Hatchet Man” and “Thar She Lies”, both set to release in 2021.

McLean’s biggest inspirations come primarily from the genres of the spaghetti western, blaxploitations, sex comedies of the 1960’s and crime films of the 1970’s. His biggest directorial inspirations are the works of Sam Peckinpah, Sergio Leone, Duke Mitchell, Billy Wilder, John Waters, Sergio Corbucci and many others. The writing of many of his characters are heavily inspired by the performances of actors Lee Van Cleef, Dean Martin, Robert Mitchum, Jack Lemmon, among others.
