Zee, a feared hitwoman in Paris known as the "Queen of the Dead," works for Finn, an associate of crime lord Jules Gobert, eliminating rivals in the drug trade. Her only comforts are her friendship with an old tailor, a goldfish, and crossword puzzles. Finn assigns Zee to kill a Marseille drug gang at a nightclub. She completes the job, but a young American singer, Jenn Clark, is accidentally blinded during the chaos. Despite orders to kill all witnesses, Zee spares Jenn's life. When Finn learns of this, he orders Zee to finish the job at the hospital where Jenn is recovering. Meanwhile, police inspector Sey, investigating the death of Jenn's drug-dealing boyfriend Coco, discovers a demo of Jenn's music, leading him to her.
