Jason Reitman

Jason has two younger sisters, Catherine and Caroline. His father directed popular films like Ghostbusters, Twins, and Junior. At age 16, Jason described himself as a "loser, movie fanatic, and shy." In the late 1980s, he began making small film appearances and working as his father’s assistant on movie sets, spending considerable time in editing rooms to learn the craft. In his early 20s, he received offers to direct large commercial projects but chose instead to work on short films and ads, turning down major proposals like Dude, Where's My Car?.
From 2004 to 2014, he was married to writer Michele Lee, whom he met while working on his short film Consent, where they co-wrote the script. The couple welcomed a child in 2006. Reitman identifies as a libertarian.
