Saïd Taghmaoui
1973 (52 года)Born in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis, Taghmaoui came from a large family with eight siblings. His Moroccan Berber parents immigrated from Essaouira. He grew up in the Rose des Vents area of Aulnay-sous-Bois and left school to pursue boxing, reaching No. 2 in his weight class in France. Taghmaoui moved to the U.S. in 1999 and became an American citizen in 2008. He is a practicing Muslim.
