A filmmaker continues shooting his film after his funding is pulled - a grim reality he has kept secret from his cast. His mind awash in the noise of memory and morphine, he reflects on his own life through the characters in his script. The story is told with highly stylistic vignettes projected in the black void of his mind, bringing to life each of the characters he has created on paper. "Phantom Images" explores the new challenges confronting gay men - and the cultural changes that have made communication between generations more difficult.

Eight friends go to fix up an old house that Mark has purchased. Upon arriving, they find the grave of Abigail (the former owner- a disturbed woman who murdered a well-wishing neighbor in the 1940's) in the back yard. Bob (one of Mark's friends) smashes the headstone and awakens Abigail, which begins the carnage. The house locks the friends inside and, one by one, they are gorily slaughtered. But the dead don't stay dead and they hunt down the living as the remaining survivors fight to make it through the night.

As he tries to cope with the impossible situation, the troubled and impressionable teenager falls under the spell of Kenny, a georgous, thirty-something, has-been actor turned theatre coach. When Kenny's "support" escalates into seduction, David slowly decends into an abyss of drinking and drug addition from which he must escape if he is to survive. CRUTCH is a dramatic tale of the confusion of youth and the difficulties in finding oneself.
