Matthieu Delaporte is a French screenwriter, director for film and television, and playwright born on September 2, 1971. After studying history and at Sciences Po, he wrote and directed Musique de chambre, a short fiction film selected and awarded at numerous festivals. He then joined Canal+, where, from 1996 to 2001, he was responsible for writing fictions for Le Vrai Journal (a show by Karl Zéro on Canal+).

Since then, in collaboration with Alexandre de La Patellière, he has written numerous series and feature films, including Skyland, Renaissance, and Les Parrains, while also developing his first feature film as a director, La Jungle. In 2009, he served as an associate producer, alongside Alexandre de La Patellière, for Sweet Valentine, the first film by Emma Luchini.
