Alexandre Dubois de La Patellière, also known as Alexandre de La Patellière, was born on June 24, 1971, in Paris. He is a French screenwriter, playwright, director, and producer, and the son of director and screenwriter Denys de La Patellière. His older brother, Fabrice de La Patellière, has led fiction at Canal+ since 2002.

De La Patellière began his film career as an assistant director and script doctor before becoming head of feature film development at RF2K from 1995 to 2001. He later joined Method Films and Onyx Films, collaborating with Matthieu Delaporte on Renaissance, directed by Christian Volckman, which was released in March 2006 and earned an Oscar nomination.

Their partnership produced several projects, including series such as Skyland, Mikido, and Jet Groove, as well as films like Les Parrains, The Prodigies, and Le Rémanent. In 2005, he co-wrote and produced La Jungle, the debut feature of Matthieu Delaporte.

Following this, he co-wrote the comedy RTT and worked on the adaptation of L'Immortel, featuring Jean Reno and Kad Merad. De La Patellière, often alongside Delaporte, also adapted The Little Prince, The Little Nicolas, and the animated series Iron Man.

In 2009, he was an associate producer on Sweet Valentine, the first film by Emma Luchini, and in 2012, he co-wrote the script for the French film Il était une fois, une fois.
