"Ciao, 2021!" - New Year's edition of the Evening Urgant program, aired on Channel One on January 1, 2022. The release parodies the festive concerts of the Italian pop music of the 1980s and the tradition of the Soviet and then Russian "Blue Lights". All participants in the program - presenters and performers - have stylized Italian names and pseudonyms. Communication takes place in Italian and is accompanied by Russian subtitles.

Performing the traditional New Year's call on the unknown phone number Andrey didn't even suspected, that just after his return to Moscow, he had bought a magic starting pack of cellular communications operator. Getting through to the deserted in New Year's eve Alyona, Andrey almost falls in love with her, but there exists a temporal problem. Alyona is celebrating coming 2008 year and Andrey is going to meet 2009. Trying "to set a contact" with Alyona's «future variant» he comes to know the terrible truth about the events, that appended in the end of 2008. Now the main goal of Andrey and all his friends - to prevent the awful tragedy and to turn into reality the meeting of Alyona and Andrey...

Фильм является своеобразным продолжением фильма «Иван Васильевич меняет профессию». События происходят в новогоднюю ночь 1997-1998 годов, спустя 24 года после событий фильма. По сюжету, главные герои (Шурик, Бунша, Зина и Ульяна Андреевна) собираются праздновать Новый год, и инженер Александр Сергеевич Тимофеев (Шурик) решает представить гостям воссозданную (и модернизированную) ту самую свою машину времени. Отправившись в XVI век, они обнаруживают там постаревшего Жоржа Милославского, который уже 25 лет сидит регентом вместо сбежавшего Ивана Грозного; царь тогда настолько вдохновился профессией Зины и Якина, что сам решил попробовать себя в киноискусстве и вместо царских палат ушёл на «Мосфильм». Стремясь исправить нарушение хода истории, герои повторно включают машину времени и отправляются в 1970-е годы на поиски царя, мечтающего стать актёром.
