Застав своего мужа с любовницей, 40-летняя Инна выставила неверного супруга за дверь. В это же время к ее соседке Римме, живущей этажом выше, из деревни приехала сестра Алевтина. Она твердо намерена найти себе в городе мужа. Римма подает идею вызвать мужчину из службы «Муж на час» и специально ломает кран у себя на кухне.
