Clarence John "Clancy" Brown III (born January 5, 1959) is an American actor known for his extensive work in film and television since the 1980s, often portraying villainous and authoritative characters.

His notable film roles include Viking Lofgren in Bad Boys (1983), the Kurgan in Highlander (1986), Capt. Byron Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and Stanley Thomas in Promising Young Woman (2020). On television, he played Brother Justin Crowe in HBO's Carnivàle (2003–2005) and Waylon "Jock" Jeffcoat in Billions (2018–2019, 2023).

In animation, Brown is the voice of Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants (1999–present) and Lex Luthor in the DC Animated Universe (1996–2006). He also voiced characters in the Crash Bandicoot series and played Hank Anderson in Detroit: Become Human (2018).

Born in Urbana, Ohio, Brown is the son of Joyce Helen, a musician, and Clarence J. "Bud" Brown Jr., a newspaper publisher and former congressman. He graduated from St. Albans School and Northwestern University. Clancy has been married to Jeanne Johnson since 1993, and they have a son and daughter.
