Christopher Michael Sanders, born on March 12, 1962, is an American filmmaker, animator, and voice actor renowned for his work on Lilo & Stitch (2002) and How to Train Your Dragon (2010), both of which he co-directed and co-wrote with Dean DeBlois. He also contributed to The Croods (2013), The Call of the Wild (2020), and The Wild Robot (2024). Notably, he created the character Stitch in 1985, wrote the story for the film, and provided the voice for Stitch in most of his media appearances.

Sanders grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and attended Arvada High School before graduating from the California Institute of the Arts in 1984. He is married to Jessica Steele-Sanders, and together they co-authored the illustrated novel Rescue Sirens: The Search for the Atavist (2015). In September 2023, Sanders filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences," but as of June 2024, he is still married to Steele-Sanders. He also created the webcomic Kiskaloo.

Additionally, according to Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Phineas and Ferb, Sanders has a daughter named Nicole.
