Joe Pingue is a Canadian actor and filmmaker known for his role as Captain McDowell in the Prime sci-fi series The Expanse and Aloznzo Bunker in the Netflix Western limited series Godless. He has also voiced Whiff in Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go and played Hoyt in the feature film The Book of Eli.

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Pingue attended Ridley College for his elementary and high school education and later studied theatre at York University. He has appeared in various films, including Miss Sloane, Pompeii, and Antiviral, and has made guest appearances in shows like Degrassi: The Next Generation and Orphan Black.

As a voice actor, he contributed to series such as The Very Good Adventures of Yam Roll in Happy Kingdom. Additionally, he produced, wrote, and starred in the short film The Answer Key, which received a Genie Award nomination, and directed the award-winning short Chili & Cheese: A Condimental Rift.
