Gordon Parks Jr.
1934 - 1979Gordon Roger Parks, Jr. (December 7, 1934 – April 3, 1979) was an American film director best known for the film Super Fly.
Parks was the son of Sally Alvis and late photographer and director Gordon Parks. The younger Parks followed in his father's footsteps after his father had success with the blaxploitation hit Shaft.
He was killed with three others when their small airplane crashed on takeoff near Nairobi, Kenya.

Priest, a suave top-rung New York City drug dealer, decides that he wants to get out of his dangerous trade. Working with his reluctant friend, Eddie, Priest devises a scheme that will allow him to make a big deal and then retire. When a desperate street dealer informs the police of Priest's activities, Priest is forced into an uncomfortable arrangement with corrupt narcotics officers. Setting his plan in motion, he aims to both leave the business and stick it to the man.

Aaron and Angela, two young adults living in the Harlem ghetto of New York City, are deeply in love with each other. The only thing standing in the way of their love is their families. Aaron is black, while Angela is Puerto Rican, and neither family wants one of their own to associate with the others. As the pair rebel against the prejudices of their families, they soon find the conflict spreading out to their friends and neighbors, until the hatred threatens to spiral out of control.
