Gregory Berlanti is an American screenwriter, producer, and director known for his work on TV series like Dawson's Creek, Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and You, as well as for his contributions to DC Comics productions, including the Arrowverse and shows like Titans and Doom Patrol. He founded Berlanti Productions in 2000.

Berlanti set a record in the 2017–2018 TV season with 10 live-action series airing across various platforms, then broke his own record with 14 series in 2018–2019 and 18 in 2019–2020. He directed the 2018 film Love, Simon, a successful gay romantic comedy-drama. In 2020, Berlanti was named one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world.

Greg Berlanti was born in Suffern, New York, to Barbara Moller Berlanti and Eugene Berlanti. He graduated from Rye High School in 1989 and earned his degree from Northwestern University in 1994. Berlanti, of Italian and Irish descent, has a sister named Dina and two nieces. He described his early life as being among "Italians in a town of WASPs," and the Berlanti Productions logo pays tribute to his father, Gene, with the phrase "Greg, move your head!"

Berlanti has been in a relationship with former LA Galaxy player Robbie Rogers since 2013. They got engaged on December 31, 2016, and married on December 2, 2017. They have two children, a son born in 2016 and a daughter born in 2019, via surrogacy.
