Vince D'Amato
Dan Ellis, Tristan Risk
A young man is accused of his ex-girlfriend's murder. Before he is formally charged by the police, he sets out on a two-day odyssey to find the real killer: tracking down his leads from the backseat of a rented limousine. This allows him to converse and ponder class, society, life in the city, and to contemplate the dirt that runs in the small nooks and valleys of cosmopolitan life. Mid-way through the film, the style transforms into Brividio Giallo contemporary, wordless operatic imagery of sex and violence.

Necrophagia - Nightmare Scenarios
Vince D'Amato, José Mojica Marins
Jenna Jameson, Killjoy
Horror-metal is definitely an acquired taste. The band Necrophagia is blasting through each of these short horror vignettes and you really have to appreciate metal not to get totally turned off. The vignettes feature mutilation, zombies, and lots of blood and gore, some of it really disgusting. Director Ryan Nicholson is better known for his make-up artistry, and been nominated and won an award for makeup in "Andromeda" and "Stargate SG-1". Director Vince D'Amato has only done direct-to-video films. Jenna Jameson was only on for a second or two saying "Necrophagia Rules." The things I sit through to see Paul Naschy. His character in the film was just window dressing, but the interview in the extras was good.

Exploring the bloody back-story through her three lovers, Asia's tale of eroticism and violence is a twisting journey through a disturbed and passionate mind that will leave the viewer thinking back on it long after the film has finished.

Glass
Vince D'Amato
Tirra Dent, Casey Manderson
The next experience in experimental giallo & film noir, inspired by the sensual and violent world of the Italian giallo film, Glass tells the tale of a young Canadian couple, Mike and Zarana, who decide to cut themselves off from social media and remain in their glass-walled apartment overlooking the waters running through their city. Anxiety, paranoia, violence, and murder follows. Sex, conspiracy and violence explode in GLASS, the second instalment of Vince D'Amato's neo-giallo series. Tirra Dent plays Zarana, a woman consumed by paranoia and rabid nightmares after she finds herself relentlessly stalked by the enigmatic killer. Set in the "glass jungle" of Vancouver's gentrified neighbourhoods, Glass is a scathing critique of social media and the society of middle and lower classes.

Human Nature
Vince D'Amato
Donny Lucas, Cynthia Potvin
While his lonely wife yearns for his touch, disturbed husband Harry (Donny James Lucas) shuns her advances and throws his energy into his unusual hobby: abducting beautiful women and torturing them in his garage. This terrifying gore fest directed by Vince D'Amato is twisted enough -- until you find out it's based on real events. (Then, it's even creepier.) The supporting cast includes Cynthia Potvin, Dana McLoughlin and Tamara Pender.
