Ellen Boscov

Ellen Boscov has enjoyed supporting roles in several upcoming films, including The Events Surrounding A Peeping Tom with Terry Kiser, directed by Hannah Fierman, Burying Bubby featuring Robert Smigel, directed by Eitan Levine and Gabriel Laks, and Ebenezer the Traveler with Christopher Brian Roach, directed by Joe Valenti. She particularly relished playing Andy Kaufman's mother in Saturday Night (2024), starring Gabriel LaBelle and directed by Jason Reitman.

Ellen is the proud mother of filmmaker Amelia Xanthe Boscov, a role she cherishes most. She voiced the fetus in Amelia's film Tripping (2023), which stars Dot-Marie Jones. Additionally, Ellen guest-starred on the PBS KIDS show Albie's Elevator (2023) and Comedy Central's Mini-Mocks Head & Breakfast (2023). She also acted in the MTV short film In Your Hands, celebrating Jewish Heritage Month in 2022 and Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2023.

In addition to her film and TV work, Ellen has performed at various theaters nationwide and has been involved in improv and sketch comedy, including being a member of the house team at Philly Improv Theater. She is a SAG-AFTRA and AEA member.

Ellen is also a composer and writer. She wrote the screenplay, lyrics, and original score for First Light (2020), a short animated musical fantasy directed by Amy Lee Ketchum, which won several awards, including Best Animation at the New Jersey International Film Festival. The film featured the vocals of mezzo-soprano Maren Montalbano and soprano Jessica Beebe, both part of Grammy® Award-winning ensembles.

She also created the screenplay, lyrics, and music for the short musical film Green Tree, directed by Carla Dauden, which quickly gained popularity online. As a playwright, Ellen has worked with Rachel Bay Jones on her full-length drama, Roses on the Rocks, produced in 2009, and has had plays produced at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco and The Theatre Shoppe in Chicago.
