Georges Gracieuse

Georges Gracieuse holds three postgraduate degrees: a Master of Philosophy, a Maîtrise in Social Sciences, and an MA in Human Resources Management. He authored two books: The Bhagavad Gita: A Way to Liberation (1998) and A Jesuit Who Became Father: An Autobiography (2022).

Active in the BC Film Industry since February 2017, Gracieuse made his acting debut in Rocky Mountain Christmas and appeared in Never Let Go (Mother Land) and In The Blink of An Eye in 2023. He has also been involved in theater, directing Vijay Tendulkar's play Silence the Court is in Session in Pune in 1984. In 2023, he played Earl Gloucester in ViKing Lear and is set to play Gremio in The Taming of The Shrew in July 2024.

Gracieuse, of African slave descent, grew up in a humble creole family on a sugar-cane plantation in post-colonial Mauritius, where social rejection marked the lives of people of slave descent. Despite facing challenges, he sought his identity and belonging, traveling across four continents. He initially trained as a Jesuit priest but shifted his path, finding strength and love through the teachings of the Bible and the Holy Spirit.
