One night, Dani, the wife of psychiatrist Ted Timmis, is brutally murdered while renovating their new country house. Olin Boole, a former patient of Ted's, had visited Dani that evening, warning her about a stranger in the home. Olin is later convicted of the murder, but is subsequently found dead in his psychiatric hospital room. A year later, Dani's blind clairvoyant twin sister, Darcy, who possesses psychometric powers, visits Ted at her oddities shop in Cork. Soon after, Darcy arrives unannounced at Ted's country house, where he now lives with his new girlfriend, Yana. Darcy brings a life-sized wooden mannequin from her shop, planning to use it to uncover the truth behind Dani's murder. When Ted leaves for his night shift, Darcy and Yana are left alone. Yana becomes increasingly uneasy when the mannequin seems to move on its own. After discovering strange items inside the mannequin's head, including photos of Dani and Darcy, Yana is instructed by Darcy to return the items. Yana experiences a terrifying vision of Dani and flees the house, leaving Darcy behind.
